|   Why Preschool? |
 |
The first year in school is a great adventure away from home for children and is very important to later achievement in school.
Pre-K Curriculum
The aim of Preschool at Our Lady of Mount Carmel School is to provide a place of learning that doubles as a “home away from home.” We provide an environment that is in keeping with the way you nurture your child’s growth and encourage maturity in Christian values. The Pre-K program at OLMC deliberately balances the academic foundation which helps them succeed in the K-8 program with the socialization and “play” that is so essential to forming the whole child. The Pre-K program is designed to help stimulate a good self-concept, providing each child with many opportunities for achievement. Pre-K students will work and create independently as well as learn to cooperate with others in a group. The program will provide social and emotional development opportunities, inspire language development and expand physical, spiritual, and mental growth.
