Reopening OLMC
As we look forward to beginning the 2020-2021 academic year, we acknowledge that we are setting out again to walk by faith during a time when fear and uncertainty is prevalent in our community. In order to reopen OLMC School, a team of faculty and staff worked under the guidance of the Catholic Diocese of Richmond, the CDC, the WHO, the American Association of Pediatrics (AAP), and the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) to consider carefully the best practices to implement in order to maintain the health of our students while faithfully adhering to our purpose and mission. The following health and operational plans coincide with the most current guidance to reopen schools during Phase 3 in the Commonwealth of Virginia. (The Final Phase Guidance for Virginia Schools 1 July 2020) In the Phase Guidance for Virginia Schools, recommendations are also presented for reopening schools in Phase 1, Phase 2, and beyond Phase 3; this plan for reopening OLMC School is subject to change in accord with the current Phase of Virginia.
